Spice up your summer with Katie's favorite cocktail: the Spicy Grapefruit Paloma!

This zesty drink is a perfect blend of fresh limes, juicy grapefruit, your go-to tequila, sparkling water, and a fiery jalapeño honey syrup. For an extra burst of flavor, Katie loves to rim the glass with Tajín. It's the ultimate refreshing treat for those hot summer days.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice

  • 2 T Fresh Lime Juice

  • 2 oz your Favorite Tequila

  • 2 t Jalapeño Honey Syrup( Recipe Below)

  • 2 oz Sparkling Water plain or flavored

  • Optional: Sweet/Spicy Rim: Sugar mixed with Tajin

  • Limes & Jalapeños, sliced for garnish

JALAPEÑO HONEY SYRUP:

  • 1/2 Cup Honey

  • 1/2 Cup Boiling Water Water

  • 3 to 4 Jalapeño Slices, seeds removed

TO MAKE JALAPEÑO HONEY SYRUP:

In a small pot combine honey, 1/2 cup boiling water, 3-4 jalapeño slices(more or less depending on how much spice you like). Mix until honey is combined and let sit until it is room temperature, if your in a hurry put mixture in the refrigerator.

TO MAKE SPICY GRAPEFRUIT PALOMA:

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, tequila and a Tablespoon of Jalapeño Honey Syrup, shake well! Rim your glass with lime juice and dip in the sweet & spicy mixture. Pour tequila mixture into glass and top with your favorite sparkling water. Garnish with extra jalapeño slices and slice of lime. Best served on a hot summer day!

NOTES

  • The Jalapeño Honey Syrup can be stored in the fridge in a sealed airtight container for one month.

  • Make as a batch cocktail or single serve
